Account & Target Management

Understand the hierarchy of Socibot: Accounts provide credentials, and Targets represent the specific channels or destinations.

Platform Accounts

Accounts are the top-level entities that hold your login credentials for platforms like YouTube. When you add an account, Socibot initializes a local browser profile to persist your session.

Security

Credentials are stored securely using OS-native keyring services.

Profiles

Browser profiles are stored in the profiles/ directory and are reused to avoid repeated logins.

Targets (Channels)

A Target is a specific channel or sub-account within a Platform Account. You can have multiple Targets under a single account (e.g., a main channel and a shorts channel).

Target Settings

Upload Limits

Set daily or total video limits to stay within platform quotas.

Watch Folders

Assign a dedicated folder for each target for automatic video ingestion.

Browser Profile Modes

Customize how Socibot handles browser sessions:

1
Shared Account: All targets under the account share one session.
2
Per Target: Each target gets its own isolated browser profile.
3
Ephemeral: Profiles are deleted after each automation run (recommended for high privacy).

Tip

If you manage multiple clients, use distinct Platform Accounts for each client to maintain clean session separation.
